Synopsis:

Kanika has just barely entered adulthood when her world is thrown upside down. Her school is magically cut off from the rest of society, and she’s risking expulsion.

She entangles herself in an immoral and erotic sexual awakening with the half-demon administrator in exchange for her continued education, but her life will never be the same.

Devastated by the fact that she callously threw away her virginity to a powerful man she’s just met, she’s easily seduced by her charismatic and tender linguistics professor, Cyril Thackeray.

When she learns that she can’t judge a person by their appearance, and is left uncertain as to whom is lying to her, she spirals deeper into depravity and promiscuity, embarking upon a dangerous exploration of her new sexual desires.

A paranormal fantasy novel for new adults, Unleashed is a powerful and unflinching novel that will leave your morality in tatters

Excerpt:Na├»ve. That’s what she really was, even after growing up in some of the poorest neighbourhoods and being passed from one family to another like a disobedient dog.
It was ironic to her that her intellect might be her downfall, whereas the experimental and open-minded women ended up with the advantage to stay in the Academy. All because they were... more willing.
“What about you?” she blurted, a renascent flush of pink appearing on her face before it died back down. How could she even ask that? How could she dare such a brazen, terrifying question?
She couldn’t really go through with it, could she?
Sleeping with someone just to stay in the Academy?
She’d never even had a boyfriend, let alone had sex.
He slowly turned his head back towards her. He was a cunning fellow, and undoubtedly he was threading her along to such a question all along. In a deep, careful voice, he replied, “What about me?” Tilting a brow upwards, he looked down to her.
“Do you mean to enquire if I'm one of those being questioned at? Or am I a more unfortunate one, somewhat like that half-orc Steward of ours? Is that it?” His voice was all silk, no menace or implications.
“You said others had been talking about it. Seeming to imply...” she trailed off, not wanting to offend, but wanting the answer more so. “That it was all rumour to you.” Her eyes were unable to reach his as she moved to furiously curl her fingers through her strawberry locks.
“How astute,” he replied, amused by her observation. “I do suppose few of the students see me as a first-choice amongst the possible saviours, no?” Smiling down at her, he took a few steps around her, eying her up, assessing her. “But then, so few of you know just exactly what it is I do here. Or how much I am in charge of.” Circling around her once, he leaned down a bit, asking softly. “Are you curious, girl?”
It was almost predatory, the way he moved about, and she shrunk under his gaze, self-conscious under such a quiet ember of scrutiny. She bitterly thought back to Catherine and the pretty dress she had been in, resentful for her drab uniform that clung and rose along her body, exposing her.
It took her a moment to regain her composure, spinning her smooth hair in her fingers. “I heard…” she swallowed the words, backpedalling. “I am, sir.”
What was she saying? What was she thinking?
Curious about him? About the half-demon in charge of discipline?
What could he be capable of? Certainly not the tender touches and tepid kissing she’d read about in the few fiction books she’d read. Part-human or not, he looked too sly to be kind.
