Review By Danie - The Contract by Author Jae Lynne Davies - 5 Delightful Stars

This was a delightfully sweet and hot short. Diana is the Goddess of the Hunt and Jupiter's daughter. She is a contract killer of sorts, in service to her father. She is tasked with the retrieval of an ancient artifact currently in the possession of human Cole Hunter. In addition to returning the artifact to Jupiter, she must also deliver the human's heart.

The attraction Diana and Cole feel for each other is instant and undeniable and they fall head-over-heels in love with each other. But how can Diana kill the only being, human or god, that has ever made her feel. The one person that has ever wanted her just for her?

I absolutely loved this story and I am beside myself with hope and expectation for future installments. Jae Lynne Davies has put down the ground work for what could be a thrilling and hot new Pantheon series. She has a remarkable ability to make even the worst characters redeemable and she fills her stories with such a range of human emotion that you are sucked in from the first page. If this is your first book by this author, I absolutely encourage you to pick up her Mythic series- Mythic (book 1) and Blood Moon (book 2)
